Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) supplements the Terms of Service (“Terms”) for Parcours Analytics (“Parcours Analytics,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It describes how we collect, use, and share information through our beta version (“Beta”) of Parcours Analytics, as provided on our website (the “Site”) and any related services (“Service” or “Services”). By using the Service, you acknowledge that this is a beta release and that features, performance, and data collection practices may evolve over time.

Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information collected about our customers (“Customers”) and their end users (“End Users”). Note that Customers are also End Users, as we utilize our own Service to analyze usage of the Site. Some collected information may constitute Personal Data, referring to personal data processed by Parcours Analytics on behalf of Customers. Your rights regarding Personal Data are described herein.

By using the Service, you agree that your information will be handled as described in this Policy, and that any disputes over privacy are subject to the Agreement, including the Terms and this Policy.

Information We Collect

From Customers
When you create an account, you provide information such as a username, password, your real name, and an email address, as well as details about the websites you wish to monitor using Parcours Analytics. If you make a purchase (after beta, if paid plans are introduced), you would provide billing information like a credit card number and address. This information is used to maintain your account and facilitate communications regarding account status, important notifications, and occasional service updates.

From End Users
We collect information from End Users at the instruction of our Customers. In these cases, we have no direct relationship with the End Users. The following data may be logged when an End User visits a Customer’s website:

  • URL and Title of pages viewed
  • URL and Title of clicked links
  • Referrer
  • User agent
  • Language and Locale
  • Anonymized IP address

These processing activities are considered lawful as they serve the legitimate interests of websites using our Service (e.g., accurate visitor statistics, fraud prevention, information security). End Users are therefore not required to provide explicit consent in most jurisdictions under these legal bases.

As Customers are also End Users, the data listed above may also be collected when Customers access the Service. This can include UID, IP address, and your account username, for purposes such as customer service and security.

How We Use Your Information

For Customers:

  • To provide and maintain the Service.
  • To understand how Customers use our Service at both individual and aggregate levels, improving its features and performance during the Beta period and beyond.
  • To assist with customer support requests, troubleshooting, and account management.
  • To send essential notifications (e.g., changes to terms, significant service updates).
  • To occasionally inform you about new features, improvements, or news related to Parcours Analytics.
  • For research and analytical purposes, including user behavior and service optimization.

For End Users:

  • To provide Customers with reports on their website traffic and visitor behavior.
  • To create anonymized, aggregate reports on global browser, OS market share, and other general analytics trends.

How We Share Your Information

Customer Information:
We may share Customer information with service providers or contractors as necessary to maintain and operate the Service. If payment processing is introduced after the Beta phase, we must share billing information with merchant account providers. We do not share Customer information with third parties for other purposes, except as required by law or for legal processes.

End User Information:
End User information collected from a Customer’s website is only shared with that specific Customer. Customers may view End User geographic data using embedded map services (e.g., Google Maps), but we do not otherwise share End User data with third parties, except as required by law or legal processes.

Legal Disclosures:
We may disclose Customer or End User information as required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. This includes responding to lawful requests by public authorities, meeting national security or law enforcement requirements, preventing fraud or abuse, protecting our rights and property, or enforcing the Terms.

Cookies
We use cookies to enhance functionality and analytics. Currently, while in Beta, our usage of cookies may be minimal or subject to change as features evolve.

For Customers:
Cookies may be used for login sessions (“remember me” functionality), two-factor authentication, and on-site analytics widgets. Some cookies may be third-party, depending on implementation.

For End Users:
By default, no tracking cookies are used if visitor privacy settings are enabled. If disabled, certain cookies help identify unique visitors or store referrer and campaign data for attribution. Customers can also disable tracking cookies manually via configuration options.

Security
We strive to protect all data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or destruction. The Site uses HTTPS to secure data in transit. Two-factor authentication is available for added account security. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and login credentials.

Personal Data Rights
Residents of certain regions (e.g., EU, UK, Switzerland, California, Brazil) have rights regarding access, deletion, and correction of Personal Data. Customers may contact us directly to exercise these rights for their own data. End Users should contact the relevant Customer if they wish to exercise these rights, as Parcours Analytics operates as a “Data Processor” or “Service Provider” on behalf of Customers.

We will respond to data requests within a reasonable timeframe. Customers can export data, delete accounts, and manage their Personal Data using tools provided via our Site. Data is retained as necessary for our legitimate business needs and legal obligations. Data may persist in backups for up to one year after deletion from active systems.

Data Privacy Framework (“DPF”)
Parcours Analytics complies with relevant Data Privacy Framework principles (EU-US, UK Extension to the EU-US, and Swiss-US). If there is any conflict between this Policy and the DPF Principles, the DPF Principles govern. We commit to resolving privacy complaints and cooperate with authorities where required. Under certain conditions, you may invoke binding arbitration for unresolved complaints. For more details, please refer to the Data Privacy Framework documentation and relevant oversight authorities.

We remain responsible and liable under the DPF Principles if a third party processes Personal Data on our behalf in a manner that violates these Principles.

Children’s Privacy
Our Service is not designed for children under 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected Personal Data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically, especially during the Beta period as features and practices evolve. We will notify you of any significant changes through a notice on our Site or via your registered email address. You are encouraged to review this Policy regularly to stay informed.
